Trevor Zimmerman is Founder and Managing Partner of Unless. Previously, Trevor co-founded Blackhorn Ventures, where he led the firm’s flagship investments and worked with entrepreneurs to build successful companies.

In addition to angel investing and venture capital, Trevor’s professional experience ranges from developing materials for biomedical implants and designing high-performance batteries for the U.S. Navy to developing systems to hinder the migration of radionuclides in groundwater at the Y-12 National Security Complex. Prior to co-founding Blackhorn, Trevor was Managing Partner of Farmore Capital Group, a private investment firm. He also held a number of operating roles, including as the principal engineer in the Technology Development Division of Kurion Inc, a venture-backed startup company, where he focused on radioactive wastewater treatment at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. Trevor holds patents for making carbon nanopipes and ductwork with nanomeric walls and separating radionuclides with submersible filters.
